Once upon a time…
3 people gathered in a coffee shop with their simple phones which had simple functions. (That was in 2005.) They wondered how mobile phones could be made better, and if their functions could be stretched beyond calls and SMSes. mig33 was born to make basic mobile phones more social by introducing a chat function.
Soon, it caught on all over the world – especially in developing countries, because that's exactly where most people want to do more with their mobile phones – make friends and be entertained – not just calling and messaging.
